ISOFOTON, a world leader in solar energy with more than 30 years expertise on PV sector and two factories based in Malaga (Spain) and Ohio (USA), takes an active part at the PV Expo 2013 held in Tokyo, announcing the introduction of new products and business strategy that will strengthen its business in the Asia Pacific region where solar photovoltaic market shows growth, and expedite its business especially in Japan.
ISOFOTON President, Ángel Luis Serrano remarked that, “The PV Japanese market, which is expected to grow exponentially to become the world’s third largest by 2013, is a vital market with big opportunities for our business. As well it implies a key step forward in reinforcing our presence on the Asian continent, confirming the importance of international expansion as a key aspect in our company`s business model.”
Japan is country specially focused to photovoltaic energy, having high isolation ratio 4.3 to 4.8 kWh / (m² day) and great support from government`s side, planning to develop 53 GW capacity of PV solar energy by 2030. In this sense, Isofoton has already agreed 44 MW of PV projects during 2013.
In March 2012 ISOFOTON established ISOFOTON Japan LLC to respond to the needs of an expanding market. In this sense, the company formed a strategic partnership with domestic distributor of photovoltaic panels, Clean Venture 21 Corp. from 2012 to promote the distribution of residential panels. For industrial use, it concluded partnerships with several system integrators. In November 2012, it partnered with five other companies to jointly invest in installing a mega-solar in Ube Techno Park, placed at Yamaguchi Prefecture which has been completed earlier this year.

Isofoton will be present at Tokyo Big sight presenting new developments such as:
- Brand new 30 years power warranty
- New monocrystalline module ISF-C60M: More compact in size than Isofoton’s conventional module, measuring at 1650 x 900 x 35, with a lightweight cylindrical frame that is made to last. The use of AR glass allows for a maximum power of 260Wp and a conversion efficiency of 15.9%, which delivers superior performance even under environments with weaker solar lights
- ISF- DUNE Module: Designed to withstand sand, wind and high-temperature, and is most appropriate for Japanese corporations and others that have (future) plans to expand its mega-solar business in harsh environments such as Africa and the Middle East.
ISOFOTON present in Japanese market since March 2012, has developed a strong business strategy within Asian region, recently announcing the opening of a new office in Singapore to impulse business opportunities in South East Asia region, with an enormous potential of the region for photovoltaic business.
ISOFOTON’s worldwide development plan bases its principal lines of action on ongoing innovation and on its commitment to R&D,the establishment of production sites wherever the end client is located and the internationalisation and development of strategic alliances with renowned prestige such as Samsung or Mercedes AMG Petronas. In order to impulse its global positioning, the company has recently signed relevant agreements in México, Honduras or Kazakhstan that supports this strategy, adding a total pipeline of 1.5 GW by end of 2014.
